Lodging Information

The wedding invitations will be out shortly!  We are so excited that our friends and family will be part of our special day.  For those of you who will be travelling from out of town and need a place to stay, a block of rooms has been reserved at The Carleton of Oak Park  (http://www.carletonhotel.com/).  The Carleton is located within walking distance of our venue (.3 miles)!  There are several types of rooms available in our block, both in the hotel and motel portions of the Carleton.  The rooms in the block will be available until September 28.  If making a reservation from the block, you will need to call (708) 848-5000 (or toll-free at 1-888 227-5386) Monday-Friday, 9a-5p central time and ask for the Sales and Catering Office, speaking to either Dana Schuster or Bridget Ryan.  In order to reserve from our block and enjoy the benefit of saving on your room, you must mention group number #1816. 

In addition to The Carleton of Oak Park, there are several other options for lodging.  The Write Inn (http://www.writeinn.com/) is also located within walking distance of the venue and is a nice option.  There are also two Bed and Breakfast facilities in the immediate area, Harvey House(http://www.harveyhousebb.com/) and Under the Ginkgo Tree( http://www.undertheginkgotreebb.com/).  We can't wait to see you in October! 

Engaged!

Welcome to our blog! After dating for seven years we've decided to get married! On June 2, after having a nice picnic dinner in the park, Elsworth put a box of my favorite chocolates from Madison, WI (http://www.infusionchocolates.com/) on the picnic table. I opened the chocolates and found a beautiful ring! Luckily Libby was along for the picnic and got in on the fun.

We are in the process of planning our wedding and have selected Saturday, October 27, 2012 as our date.  We are looking forward to spending this day with our family and friends!
