Wedding!

As Elsworth and I were planning our wedding and as the day approached, many friends who had hosted weddings told me there would be things that would go wonderfully and other things that would not go as planned.  Elsworth and I were very fortunate as everything went as planned and our wedding was exactly the one that we had wished for and planned!  I think our wedding was absolutely beautiful.  We are so thankful that so many of our friends from near and far were able to come celebrate our special day with us!

We just want to give a special shout out to several people who helped make our wedding wonderful!

Bleue Benton:  Bleue was the officiant for our ceremony and the words that she spoke to us were simply perfect.  I cannot imagine more beautiful words spoken to us as we stood together on the stage.  Thank you, Bleue!

Allison Page:  Allison was the beautiful pianist on stage who played Thunder Road, Sunday Morning and Let's Spend the Night Together during the processional and recessional.  Allison is a friend from college and I was so honored to have her play the piano for our wedding!  It was absolutely beautiful!  Thank you, Allison!

Steve Dillon:  Steve was the amazing juggler who performed between the ceremony and reception.  For those of you who saw Steve's performance, you know that he is a wonderful and incredible juggler!  Thank you, Steve!

Nathan Parsons:  You may have found yourself asking "Who was that handsome man on the stage playing great music all through the reception?"  Well, that was my fabulous cousin, Nathan!  I was so happy that Nathan was able to be our wedding DJ!  Thank you, Nathan!

Elsworth and I so appreciate that people we know and love were able to be part of our wedding!

We haven't received all of the pictures yet but our photographer passed along a few photos of the wedding.  Once all the pictures are available, a link will be provided so you can see all the of photos that our wonderful photographer, Sharon, took the day of our wedding.

This is me in the women's restroom before the ceremony.  When Elsworth and I toured the 19th Century Club for the first time, I knew this room would make a great background for photos!

This is a photo of Elsworth and me on the staircase before the ceremony.

This is our wonderful dog, Libby!  Libby walked down the aisle with me and Elsworth!  Our wonderful friend Nicole (who Libby knows very well) held Libby during the ceremony!  I love this picture so much!  You may notice that Libby's little tongue forms a heart!

I love this picture of us taken during the reception.  What the picture doesn't capture is Elsworth's amazing reception shoes!  He had them customized on newbalance.com.  The back of one shoe says "E plus L" and the other says "10.27.12."

This picture of us with our wedding party (Elsworth's attendants, Abigail and Amanda and my attendants, Mercy and Katie) was taken in the park across from our wedding venue before the wedding.  We had a lot of fun during the picture taking process!

This picture captures my genuine love and excitement of my reception dress.  For those of you who don't know my dress story, the dress I wore for the ceremony was Amanda's (Elsworth's sister) wedding dress.  Elsworth and I visited Amanda and her husband Karl not long after we were engaged and Amanda encouraged me to try on her dress.  It fit like a glove with no alterations and Amanda very graciously offered to let me wear it for the wedding!  Elsworth reminded me that since we met I always told him I wanted to get married in a party dress.  He was right!  I completely stumbled upon an amazing dress maker on Etsy (http://www.etsy.com/shop/GinAndSinEtsy) and after sending her my measurements and some money, 8 weeks later she sent me my party dress!  I LOVE this dress!

  2. Such an adorable couple! Congratulations to them. They remind me of my best friend and her husband. She got married 5 years ago in an event space NYC. I was the maid of honor and even the planner for her wedding. It was a good one. Anyways, it was lovely coming across this post.
